魏元光是著名工业教育家、我校早期领导人。他主张的走适合中国国情的工业教育道路和开门办学,学校与社会相结合的办学理念,以及注重培养学生的动手能力,理论与实际相结合、产学研相结合的原则,等教育思想,奠定了学校百年基业及良好的办学传统和人才培养特色。

Wei Yuanguang is a school leader as well as a famous industrial educator of the early stage. His educational ideologies, such as technical education adapting to the basic conditions of China, combining schools with the society, laying stress on the development of students＇ operational skills and !ntegrations of theory and practice, of industry, academic study and scientific research, have established the tradition of the school operation and characteristics of talent cuhivation for more than a hundred years.
