A Study on the Innovation of the Regional Development Theory in China

对于西方区域发展理论既要认真借鉴,又不能迷信照搬。中国特色社会主义区域发展理论创新的内容十分丰富,概括起来就是:以马克思主义为指导,立足于中国实际,运用“两只手”统筹协调区域发展中的特殊关系,构建和优化社会主义市场经济的空间结构,形成全国整体综合优势,通过全面发展实现区域间的共同富裕与和谐。本文将这一理论从十个具体方面展开,突破和超越了西方区域发展理论。

We should draw lessons from the Regional Development Theory in the West, rather than simply copy it. The innovation of the socialist Regional Development Theory with Chinese characteristics is rich in content, which could be summarized as: to be guided by the Marxism and base itself on China's reality; by using 'two hands', special relations existing in regional development should be planned and coordinated in entirety, and the space structure of socialist market economy should be constructed and optimized, thus to form comprehensive national advantages; to achieve cross-regional common prosperity and harmony through overall development. Specifically speaking, the Chinese Regional Development Theory has transcended the western Regional Development Theory and make breakthrough in ten aspects.
