召公封燕及其这一问题的研究是燕国历史和燕文化研究中非常重要的一个问题。根据大量考古资料,主要是殷墟甲骨文的发现和一大批青铜器铭文的发现,结合史籍的有关记载,特别是北京琉璃河考古发掘的成果,可以确定,西周燕国的建立是在商代子姓燕国的基础上建立的,西周燕国的历史始于召公奭之封,地点在北京琉璃河董家林古城,时间在公元前1042年。召公封燕的确定对燕国历史和燕文化的研究具有重要意义。

The reaserch on the problem of ZhaoGong Feng Yan is very important in the study of Yah dynasty and it＇ s culture. The establishment of Yan is found on the basic of Shang dynasty.And it＇ s history started by ZhaoGongshi, and it lay at the old city of Beijing liulihe dongjialin in BC1042.All of above come from lots archaeology materials and history books.The archaeology＇s discoveries contained JiaGuwen of Shang dynasty and lots of words on the brones.The ascertaining about ZhaoGongFengYan is full of meanings for study of it＇s history and culture.
