书法的层次结构与汉字的艺术特质

The Hierarchical Structure of Handwriting and the Quality of Chinese Characters

汉字书写之所以能够成为艺术,除了书写者自身的艺术创造力,也就是能够按着美的规律去创造外,一个重要的原因,是汉字本身具有艺术特质。书法的层次结构,同其他艺术一样,分别为艺术语言、艺术形象、艺术意蕴,汉字也便从这三个不同的方面显示出它的艺术特质。

There are two reasons why the handwriting of Chinese characters can be called a type of art.One reason is that the handwriter＇s artistic creativity enables him to create according to the rules of aesthetics.The most important reason is that Chinese characters possess special quality.Like other types of arts, calligraphy consists of artistic language, artistic image and artistic meaning.Chinese characters are showing their special quality in these three aspects.
