摘要
清华师生自1917年起便开始关注泰戈尔,翻译、介绍泰戈尔作品与思想。1924年泰戈尔访问中国,清华园是他此次访华重要的一站。泰戈尔在清华园驻留近一个星期,他发表演讲,并就宗教、社会及人生等问题与清华师生进行了广泛、自由的交流,成为这次重要的中印文化交流中的一个亮点。
Teachers and students of Tsing Hua College had paid attention to Tagore since 1917 by translating and instructing his works and thoughts. Tagore visited and settled in Tsing Hua for about one week when he visited China in 1924.He gave a lecture in Tsing Hua College and communicated in many aspects, such as religion, society and life with teachers and students broadly and freely, which became a shining point of the culture communication and exchange between China and India in 1924.
