摘要
文章以汉语垂直性方位词“上/下”和英语垂直性方位词“UP/DOWN”作隐喻对比研究,解读汉、英在时间、状态、数量和地位这四个概念域内,从空间关系的选择和表达形式到反映的认知模式上的相似性。
This paper, by metaphorically studying and comparing vertical locality words Shang（ 上 ）/Xia （ 下 ） and up/down, attempts to probe their metaphorically implicit similarities in the field of time, quantity, social hierarchy, and state from the perspective of spatial relationship and cognitive approach.
