Flourishing market economy is a ＂double edged sword＂. While it raises people＇ s living standards and the overall national potency, it worsens the differences between the rich and the poor. Rich people ＇ s ways of life and extravagant spending by corrupt officials all exert detrimental influences on university students＇ minds. This paper discusses on how to modify the ideological education in universities to confront the destructive influences.
