世界石油理事会（WPC）西班牙国家委员会经申报、评议及理事会全体会议投票表决，最终获得了2008年6月29日至7月3日在西班矛首都马德里举办第十九届世界石油大会的主办权。目前，第十九届世界石油大会西班牙组委会正积极地进行筹备。中国国家委员会委员陈立滇教授于2006年11月14～16日赴加拿大卡尔加里市参加WPC大会规划委员会会议期间，以本刊特约记者身份对第十九届世界石油大会西班牙组委会主席Jorge Segrelles先生进行了专访。

Following the application submitted by WPC Spanish Organizing Committee and the appraisal and voting by WPC members, Spanish Organizing Committee has finally acquired the authority to host the 19^th WPC in Mardrid, the capital of Spain, on June 29, 2008. Professor Chen Lidian from WPC China National Committee interviewed with Chairman of WPC Spanish Organizing Committee Jorge Segrelles as special WPI reporter when he attended the conference of WPC Planning Committee in Calgary, Canada, between November 14 and 16 2006.
