Idioms are ＂gems＂ of the English language. They are pithy in wording and rich in meaning. Being full of humor and wit, they also carry a feeling of beauty. Because the idioms are endowed with rich cultural elements, the translators should not only try to preserve the original meanings and try to express them in the target language, but also make necessary processing of them when necessary, so that cross-cultural communications could be better bridged.
