摘要
尽管码率控制本身不作为视频标准的一个组成部分,但有效的码率控制机制对于视频编码系统来说是一个必不可少的组成部分。因此,每一个视频标准都有相应地的一个或者多个码率控制方案。本文提出了一种基于MPEG-4码率控制方案SRC(Scalab le Rate Control)的改进码率控制算法MP4ADV,在编码比特率和图像质量之间有效地实现了恰当的折中。最后给出了SRC、MP4ADV以及H.264参考软件JM9.2中的码率控制算法的比较结果,在对图像质量的提高上更好的体现出了MP4ADV的优越性。
Although rate control is not a part of video coding standard, an effective rate control mechanism is absolutely necessary in video coding applications. Therefore, almost: every video coding standard has one rate control strategy and even more. This article introduces an improved rate control arithmetic MP4ADV based on SRC(Scalable Rate Control) in MPEG ,4. It achieves the tradeoff between the bit rate and video distortion. Finally, we give the results about comparing SRC, MP4ADV and the rate control arithmetic in H. 264 reference software JM9. 2.
