摘要
讨论了一种半导体激光温度控制电路的设计方案,能够实时监视和控制激光器温度,以稳定激光器的输出功率和波长。控制核心采用PIC16C73单片机来实现对整个系统的精确控制。热电致冷器驱动电路采用高集成、高性价比和高效率开关型驱动芯片MAX1968来实现。与传统的分立元件设计方法相比,简化了80%的电路设计。实验结果表明,激光器的温度控制精度达到±0.1℃。
A laser diode temperature controller consisting of PIC16C73 and Maxim Instruments MAX1968 power driver is presented. The MAX1968 is a highly integrated and cost-effective, high-efficiency, switch-mode idea for driving a wide variety of the thermo-electric cooler (TEC) elements. The PIC16C73 microcontroller implements a digital proportional-integral-derivative feedback controller using an analog-to-digital converter to read the thermistor, a digital-to-analog converter to output a control signal to MAX1968 which adjusts the current through the TEC. The experiment result shows that the control accuracy has been achieved to be±0.1℃.
