Network disk is the outcome of network and storage technology. High capacity remote storages can be mapped as local disks, that is to say, Intemet fries and data can be easily stored, transferred, backup and shared among different servers just like local information. The features of the network disk include simple operation method, excellent security and user-friendly interface. This technology will be feasible and practicable for applications to public computer system of colleges or universities.
