论“独白”在人物形象塑造中的作用

语言是交流的工具。但在日常生活中,人们会发现有一些话语并不是以交流为目的。这种现象在文学作品中的表现就是独白。那么,不以交流为目的的独白在文学作品中的作用是什么?从中外文学名著中选取几段经典独白,分析了独白在人物形象塑造中的一些独特作用。

It is not always true that language is a communicative tool. It is found in our daily life that some utterances are not for communication. Such expressions in literary works are called as soliloquy. When do people utter such utterances？ Through an analysis of several classical soliloquies taken from a few well-known works in China and abroad, this paper reveals that soliloquy plays a unique role in characterization. That is, soliloquy can display a character＇s perplexity and confusion in his mind or inner conflict; his dogmatism in his character and his mental solitude.
