On the Construction of Socialist harmonious Society: A Methodological Approach

构建社会主义和谐社会是党中央的战略决策,从其方法论问题上来看:首先应从哲学高度把握“和谐社会”的中国传统精华的继承和扬弃,马克思主义中国化的理论创新、社会主义社会的本质要求和本质属性等科学内涵;其次应从联系社会形态来理解只有社会主义社会和将来的共产主义社会才能实现真正的“和谐社会”。构建社会主义和谐社会还应坚持历史唯物论和历史辩证法等,使构建社会主义和谐社会得到方法论上的指导。

The construction of socialist harmonious society is a strategic plan made by CPC Central Committee. Methodologically and philosophically, its correct understanding relies on the inheritance of the quintessence of traditional Chinese culture, new contribution to Marxism with Chinese characteristics, and a good mastery of the nature of socialist society. The real ＂harmonious society＂ can be realized only in socialist society and the future communist society with the guidance of historical mate- rialism and dialectics.
