To Prosper the Country Based on Harmony

构建社会主义和谐社会,是我们党从全面建设小康社会、开创有中国特色社会主义事业新局面的全局出发,提出的重大战略思想和长期历史任务,反映了我们党对有中国特色社会主义事业发展规律的新认识,它标志着中国特色社会主义事业的总体布局,已由经济建设、政治建设、文化建设三位一体拓展为包括社会建设在内的四位一体。不断推进社会主义和谐社会建设,是新世纪新阶段我国经济社会发展现的客观要求,是实现党的‘执政为民”宗旨和贯彻落实科学发展观的必然要求,也是发展“十一五”规划良好开端的重要前提,体现了广大人民的根本利益和共同意愿。

To build socialist harmonic society is to propose the important strategic thought and long-time historical task proposed by the CPC from both the perspective of building well-to-do society in all round way and starting building the socialism with Chinese characteristic. It reflects the new cognition towards the rule of buildingthe socialism with Chinese characteristic and symbolizes that the entire layout of socialism has been modified from the trinity if both the economic development, political development and cultural development to the quartembary with the social decelopment added. And it is the external requirement of the idea of economic development in the new phase in the new century to push the harmony socialism building continually. On the other hand, it is the inevitable requirement to achieve the tenet of ministering for the people and carry out the policy of science sevelopment. At the same time, it is also the important precondition to realizp the Eleventh-Five-Year Plan and reflects the essential benefit and common desirability of the people.
