Deteriorating Situation in Iraq and US's Policy Adjustment Caught in Dilemma

伊战后,伊拉克安全形势每况愈下。各派都在发展自己的武装力量,教派和民族间的矛盾和冲突正在向内战演变。这一局面完全是由美国的伊拉克政策造成的,事实表明美国在伊拉克没有取得成功。布什政府调整对伊政策势在必行,但调整后的政策也不可能是“灵丹妙药”,伊拉克局势充满变数,要实现稳定难度很大。伊拉克问题以及中东其他热点问题在布什总统余下的任期内将是始终困扰他的系列难题。

Since the inception of the Iraqi war,the security situation in Iraq has kept deteriorating with each passing day.Factions of various kinds have taken the opportunity to develop their armed forces,while contradictions and conflicts among different religious sects and ethnic groups are leading the country to a civil war.This is a direct outcome of the American policy toward Iraq,and proves that such a policy has produced no positive results.The Bush Administration has no way out but adjusts its policy toward Iraq,but no one can ascertain that the adjusted policy could be a “cure for all”remedy.The Iraqi situation remains treacherous,and stability is beyond sight.Thus,President Bush will be obsessed with the Iraqi issue as well as other hot spots in the Middle East during the remaining time of his administration.
