傅斯年考虑中国文化,多从文化社会学的角度加以分析,他以“与时俱进”的眼光看待文化的变迁与发展,论证文化与社会发展的同步性。遁古只有僵死,变古方能常青,“革新的文化”是“革旧”与“立新”并举的文化,文化建设中的“破”与“立”有着连贯关系的存在;而要建立适应社会的文化就必须先从人的本质入手,以人性为基点去探究文化建设的本源,文化建设的最终目的是要建立“符合人性、抬高人生”的文化,是要以文化为手段促进国民素质的提高。傅斯年力图在中西文化之间寻找最合适的契合点,以打破中国文化发展中的悖论。

With an analysis of Chinese culture from the point of view of Cultural sociology. Fu Sinian used his developing sight to look on culture＇s evolution. He demonstrated the synchronization of the culture and social development. Clinging to the old tradition, we cannot achieve cultural evolution. Cultural evolution means to get rid of the old and set up the new at the same time. ＂Destroy＂ and ＂establish＂ have some delicate connection between them. In order to establish new culture, we must explore the fountain of the new culture. Culture building＇s final aim is to ＂accord with humanism and drive up humanism＂. This thesis tries to bridge the gap between Chinese culture and international culture and break the paradox of Chinese culture evolution.
