The conception of scientific development is the advancement of sustainable development thoughts in China. The strategies of sustainable development are based on the environmental value of modem anthropocentrism. Modem anthropocentrism is the philosophical foundation of the conception of scientific development. However, owing to the influence of anthropocentrism during its historical evolvement, modem anthropocentrism encounters various disbeliefs about this status. This paper aims to justify the status of modem ant foundation of the conception of scientific development by denouncing those disbeliefs.
