苏轼贬惠两年又七个月。在这“蛮貊之邦”,他除了创作大量的诗文外,也留下了许多书信。这些书信反映了他当时“惶恐忧戚、小心谨慎又‘无往而不乐’”、“有思又无所思”的矛盾心态,是研究其寓惠心态及情感的重要资料。

Su Shi had been degraded in Huizhou for two years and seven months. During these days, he had wrote many letters, as well as poems which truly reflected his contradictang psychology as worried and careful but also happy and thoughtful. The letters are the key materials in studyins his psychology and emotion in Huizhou.
