摘要
谚语是一个民族的语言和文化的重要组成部分,包含动物词语的英语谚语则是其中一道亮丽的风景线。而含隐喻意义的动物谚语尤其绚丽多彩,但是它们往往也是理解的难点。本文试从分析英语动物词语的国俗语义入手,列出谚语的汉语翻译,以便正确理解这类谚语的真正涵义。
Old saying is one of the important parts of a national language and culture. Of the English sayings the ones about animals are metaphorical and interesting in particular.This paper tries to analyze the national-custom semantic meaning of the sayings by comparing their translation equivalences in Chinese in a hope of better appreciaring the connotations of such kind of sayings.
