“价值”的观念是何以可能的?这是今日探索价值论问题的基本的发问方式。这种追问所指向的不是任何形而上的、或者形而下的存在者,而是存在本身;因此,这样的发问意味着价值观念的当代重建,而不是简单地回复到任何原教旨主义式的传统价值观念。在儒家的观念中,存在就是生活;因此,生活及其仁爱情感显现乃是一切存在者的大本大源所在,也是价值论建构的源头活水所在。

How is the idea of value possible？ This question forms the foundational inquisitive way to put the question for probing into the theory of value today. What such an inquiry aims at is not any mete-physical or physical Seiendes, but Sein itself. Thus this questioning does not mean to go back merely to any traditional idea of value like that of fundamentalism, but to reconstruct the idea of value at the present time. Life is or equals Sein in the view of Confucianism, so life and its emotionally appearing is both where all Seiendes are from, and where the theory of value is constructed.
