摘要 合成生物学研究是个新兴而颇具前景的研究领域。该研究对多种天然的或人工设计的生物学元件进行了合理而系统的组合以获得重构的或非天然的“生物系统”。从解构到重构生命体、由破到立的认识方式转变,是对生物系统认识深入发展的必然结果。合成生物学研究就是连接这一过程的桥梁。本文对这一前沿领域的研究思路、近期主要研究成果及发展趋势做一概述。 The emerging field of synthetic biology is of great potential. Synthetic biology is the synthesis of complex, biologically based (or inspired) systems which display functions that do not exist in nature. In essence, synthetic biology will enable the design of biological systems in a rational and systematic way. Synthetic biology stands at the meeting-point of destructing life and construction of life. In this article the current state of this field in scientific and technological perspective is reviewed and the potentially beneficial outcomes are explored.
