摘要
词汇学习是语言学习的一个重要组成部分,在EFL教学中有举足轻重的地位;词汇的掌握和运用直接影响学生听、说、读、写、译等各项技能的培养。文章在论述认知隐喻理论机制的基础上,提出了将隐喻理论引入EFL词汇教学,启发学生通过隐喻的认知功能学习词汇,培养学生语言学习的主动性和科学性,从而提高教学效率。
Vocabulary learning plays significant role in EFL teaching, and the good command and proper use of words is directly and positively relevant to the development of language skills. This paper discusses the theory of metaphor on the cognitive basis and illustrates that the application of metaphor thories to EFL vocabulary teaching can facilitate students' difficulty caused by mechanically memorizing the words.
