In this paper, Newton ring and Michelson interference ring are depicted by the Mathematica. The differences between them are thoroughly discussed, such as the mechanisms, the center and the degree of the rings, the colorized ring and the methods of measuring their wavelengths. The investigation will make the teaching process more attractive, and update the teaching method as well.
