古汉语主谓之间“而”的作用与来源

The Function and Origin of "Er(而)" between the Subject and the Predict in Ancient Chinese

本文针对学界既有观点,就古汉语中主谓之间“而”字的作用与来源问题展开讨论,认为“而”的作用在于强调突显主语,它不是从代词“而”虚化来的,而是从名词“而”假借来的。

On the base of some people＇s opinion, this paper discusses the function and origin of ＂er （而）＂ between the subject and the predict in ancient Chinese. In our opinion, the function of ＂er （而）＂ is to emphasize the subject. And ＂er（而）＂ did not develop from the pronoun ＂er （而）＂. It maybe borrowed from the noun ＂er （而）＂.
