Some Issues about Defining the Chinese Xuan Paper Culture

给中国宣纸文化下定义,要从中国宣纸的特质、宣纸和书法绘画相互关系、宣纸文化和中国传统文化的关系等方面来考虑。宣纸文化发展的分期大致可分为明代以前、明代至民国、新中国成立以来三个时期;宣纸研究分类可分为整体研究、实态研究、人物研究、旅游文化研究、思想文化研究等;中国宣纸文化的研究要坚持一个特色,避免两种倾向,突出三个重点,处理好四个关系。

Definition of the Chinese Xuan paper culture must consider all the aspects such as the special characteristics of Xuan paper, the relationship between painting and calligraphy and the relationship between Xuan paper culture and the traditional Chinese culture. The growth of Xuan paper cultural can be divided into three periodss： before the Ming Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty to Republic of China, and after the founding of a new China. The research about Xuan paper may be categorized into the whole research, the reality condition research, the people studies, the tourist culture research and thought and culture research. The Chinese Xuan paper culture research needs to stick to one feature, avoid two tendencies, emphasize three key points and correctly deal with four relations.
