明代话本小说《羊角哀舍命全交》的本事主要是西汉刘向《列士传》记载的羊角哀与左伯桃交友的事迹,但《列士传》一书已佚,佚文见于历代诸书征引。前人已从中辑录了一些本事材料,但尚有不少重要材料被遗漏,因此,有必要加以补辑。

The source materials for the Ming Dynasty fiction gang Jiao-ai Gives his Life for Friendship are mainly the story telling about the friendship between Yang Jiao-ai and Zuo Bo-tao recorded in Biography of Honored Men by Liu Xiang. However, the book Biography of Honored Men has been lost, and the lost stories are scattered in the citations of books of different ages. The scholars in the past have collected some source materials, but there is still some missing, and so it is necessary to give a complement to the ready collection.
