摘要
边沁是18世纪后半叶英国功利主义学派的奠基人。他把“最大多数人的最大幸福”原则确立为功利主义的基本原则,并以此作为其教育理论的基础。他在教育目的、内容、管理原则等方面的论述,对后世的教育有一定的借鉴作用。
Jeremy Bentham is the founder of the British utilitarianism in the second half of 18th century. He argues that the basic principle of utilitarianism is the greatest happiness of the greatest number of people, which is also his theoretical basis of education. Hence his educational concept of objectives, contents, and administrational principles is greatly influential.
