摘要
《法国中尉的女人》与《德伯家的苔丝》在人物背景及人物主题方面有着惊人的相似,然而两部小说的主人公的结局却迥然不同,《法》与《苔丝》的这种并置形成的互文性凸现了《苔丝》中的达尔文主义的命运观,前景化并评判了《苔丝》中的意识形态。
The French Lieutenant＇s Woman and Tess of the d＇ Urbervilles are based upon the use of the same motif with almost the same history, but the heroines of the two novels have totally different destinies. The intertextuality established by the juxtaposition of these two novels foregrounds the Darwinian fate in Tess so that the ideology created in Tess is challenged and commented on by The French Lieutenant＇s Woman.
