摘要
在英译汉中所造成的失误往往是由于词义的选择错误所致。本文从认知语境对语篇理解的作用来探讨,认为认知语境为译者确定词义提供了依据。
The errors in translation from English to Chinese are generally made for the wrong choosing of word meaning. This paper reveals the cognitive context first and its functions in the text understanding. Cognitive context has a great influence on the choosing of word meaning in translation. Therefore, it serves as a basis for the translator to determine the word meaning.
