The Comparison Between Song and Yuan Dynasties'Mulberry Disasters

宋、元两朝是历史上桑树灾害发生较多的朝代,但各朝又有所不同,元代的发生频率高于宋,其间隔时间也短于宋,桑灾的发生月份两者相似。两朝的桑灾成因主要是虫食桑、霜雪雹及风雨等,也有某些人为因素。各朝对待桑灾的策略有所不同,由于元代视农耕和桑蚕为同等重要的生产方式,因此,其对桑灾的重视程度大于宋。

More mulberry disasters happened in Song and Yuan Dynasty, But there were some differences in the two dynasties. The frequency in Yuan Dynasty was higher than that in Song Dynasty. Its interval time Was shorter than Song＇s. Their months were similar. The causes which resulted in mulberry disasters were m mnly ＂pests .eating mulberry＂, ＂frost, snow and hail＂ and ＂wind and rain＂ etc., there were some causes which men gave. The tactics in Yuan Dynasty were differmt from Song Dynasty. Yuan ruler regarded mulberry silkworm as important as farming, so Yuan paid more attention to mulberry disasters than Song.
