文章对目前硕士学位论文中普遍存在的分量不大而篇幅过大的现象作了分析,认为创新是学术论文的生命,硕士学位论文不能没有创见。并认为如果一定要为硕士学位论文立个数字标准,若其非选题过大、重复罗嗦,则2万字即可,一般不宜超过3万字,以防其被迫掺假注水,影响学风。

The author, based on analyzing the over- prolonged thesis without major subjects, supposes that innovation is critical of graduate thesis. The paper suggests that 20000 words, if any number limit needed, are sufficient in length, unnecessary to be prolonged with redundant expressions.
