Australian Technical Colleges Act 2005-Flexibility in Achieving Australia's Skills Needs issued that the Australian Government has identified 24 districts across the country for the establishment of Australian Technical Colleges (ATCs) to further address the pressing skill shortages which Australia currently faces. This paper addresses the ATCs'background of establishment and its practice. Finally its characteristics are analyzed.
