狐是中国民间信仰的重要对象之一,狐故事也是中国古典小说的经典题材之一。以唐小说为代表,狐形象经由了妖性狐向人性化狐的转变。唐小说中狐故事类型的嬗变一方面反映了不同历史时期中国民间信仰从对象到内容的转变,一方面反映了古典小说创作观念由“实录”到“虚构”的逐步进化。
Fox is regarded as one of the important targets of Chinese folk belief and fox story is one of the classical subjects of Chinese classical novels. Through different historic stages, the image of fox in classical novels experiences great change from animality, deity, evil nature to humanity. With novels in Tang Dynasty as the example, the fox in them changed from evil nature to humanity. On the one hand, the change in fox story styles in Chinese classical novels reflects a change in. Chinese folk belief from targets to contents during different historic periods; on the other hand, it reflects the evolution of creative ideas of classical novels from faithful record to imagination.
