Free method of searching foreign pharmaceutical patent in internet

目的提高国外药学专利的检索效率。方法主要介绍2个国外专利权威网站,并以2种药品的英文通用名和别名为例,在美国专利与商标局专利检索系统中通过5个不同的检索字段进行查全查准的分析比较。结果与结论在检索结果过多或过少时,应设计检索方案,运用逻辑运算符和字段检索式,缩小或扩大检索范围,提高国外药学专利的查全率与查准率。

Objective To increase the searching efficiency for foreign pharmaceutical patents. Methods Two authoritative foreign patent websites were introduced. Taking the universal names and the aliases of two kinds of drugs as examples, the recall ratio and precision ratio results were analyzed and compared by using 5 different searching fields in the patent searching system of United States Patent and Trademark Office. Results and Conclusions In order to increase recall ratio and precision ratio of foreign pharmaceutical patents when the searching results are too much or little, the searching scheme should be designed, the logic operator and field searching mode should be used, and the searching range should be reduced or enlarged respectively.
