摘要
计算机信息技术行业是现代英语新词产生频率最高、数量最多的地方，其中重要渠道之一是通过缩短类构词法生成的，该类构词法在ICT英语词汇中发挥了特殊的作用。本文通过锁定英语缩短类构词法的范畴。在梳理缩短类构词法的概念和应用对象的基础上，归纳缩短类构词法在ICT英语词汇中的应用。同时浅议了融合词中新型词素形式析取成分的潜在产出性，折射了缩略词的文体变化等语言现象。
Shortening word-formation is one of the most important sources for neologism in modem English, especially for those derived from computer and ICT industry, which also plays a prominent and special role in producing ICT English words. This paper discussed the application of shortening word-formation to college English vocabulary. Also the potential productivity in blending is discussed, and changing style in shortening word-formation is reflected.
