Research into the Image of the Survivors of the Ming Dynasty in Early Qing Dynasty Legendary Novels

遗民作为特殊时世的特殊士群,有其存在的必然性。本文从历史上遗民最多的时间段明末清初入手,分析了这一时期遗民的外在特征,他们表现为:嗜酒如命,长歌当哭;技高艺绝、遁翳市井;武艺高超、亦侠亦隐。然而,他们并不是象看上去那样洒脱,怪诞的行为掩盖不住国破家亡的内心痛苦,笔者从史学、文学的角度揭开了表层现象背后隐藏的深层原因。

The existence of survivors of a former dynasty is natural in the feudal Chinese history. Proceeding from the early Qing Dynasty when there were large numbers of the former Ming Dynasty subject, the article analyzes the apparent characteristics of these survivors,for example they were extremely alcoholic, highly skillful in martial arts with a strong inclination to withdraw from social life. However, they were not as care-free as they appeared to be.Their bizarre way of behavior couldn＇t conceal their inner misery for losing their own dynasty and homes.In light of this,the author reveals the root cause for this phenomenon from historic and literary angles.
