摘要
VP习语在英语习语中占据相当大的一部分,而且其中一部分在句法上具有可移动性,据此标准可以将VP习语分为固定习语和可移动习语。通过总结前人在这方面的研究与思考,可以找出VP习语可移动性的内在理据,从而为英语学习乃至词典编纂提供便利。
VP idioms claim a considerable part in English idioms. Some of them enjoy the attribute of syntactic mobility according to which idioms can be categorized into fixed and mobile idioms. And this paper intends to find out the motivation for the mobility through summarizing and reconsidering the previous studies with the final aim to better serve English learners as well as dictionary - compilers. It＇s also recommended that cognitive approaches could possibly be introduced into such studies.
