The paper introduces a procedure of risk management in shield tunnel construction and develops a risk assessment system and a new concept of information management system for shield tunneling.This system can promote the optimum allocation of information resources,effectively manage construction risk,and be beneficial to the overall control over the construction cost,schedule,engineering quality and environmental safety.
