1823—1829年华亭—娄县地区的物价

A Study of Prices in Huating-Lou Area,1823—1829

物价研究是经济史研究的基础。但因为史料记载缺乏和零散,研究古代物价是一件颇为困难的工作。之所以把本项研究的时间和空间限制在1823—1829年和华亭—娄县地区,在很大程度上是因为有《浦泖农咨》这样一部重要农书。《浦泖农咨》较为详细地记载了道光前半期华娄地区几乎所有最主要的生产与生活资料的市场价格。以此为基础,辅之以地方志和相关的研究调查,基本可以重构1823—1829年华娄地区的物价。根据上述材料,本文研究了1823—1829年间华娄地区田地、房屋、粮食、布棉、盐、酒、油、肥料、家畜与家禽、肉蛋鱼虾、农具等生活与生产资料必需品的价格,从而重构了1823—1829年华娄地区的物价系统。

The price study is a base for economic history, but it is difficult to reconstruct price system of pre-modern China because the data is not available in many cases. This paper focuses on the price system in Huating-Lou area during the period of 1823-1829, mainly because there is an important agricultural handbook-Pumao Nongzi which contains rich price data of major commodities in the area during the period under study. Taking the book as the core, with materials combed out from other sources such as gazetteers, modern field investigations and others, this article has made a survey of the prices of major commodities in this area and period, including cultivated land, houses, grain, cotton, cloth, salt, wine, oil, farm tools, fertilizer, animals, fowls, meat, eggs, fish, etc. Based on these prices, the price system in the area and the period is re-constructed.
