Statistics of Non-zero Mean Random Polarized Waves

摘要 在正态分布假设条件下,首先导出了随机电磁波幅度、功率和相位的概率密度分布及联合概率密度分布,然后重点分析了能够完备表征电磁波极化特性的瞬态极化投影矢量(IPPV)的概率密度分布,并分析了极化通道之间相互独立的随机极化波IPPV各分量的概率密度与独立通道方差比的变化关系等.文中结论对电磁信号检测、ESM系统辐射源极化侦察等应用领域具有参考意义. Statistical characteristics of non-zero mean random polarized waves are studied based on the instantaneous polarization theory. Under a Gaussian hypothesis, probability density functions (PDFs) and joint PDFs of the amplitude, power and phase of random polarized waves are presented. The PDFs of instantaneous polarization projection vector (IPPV) of non-zero mean random polarized waves are then analyzed, which can entirely describe polarization characteristics of electromagnetic waves. Finally, relationship between the PDFs and the covariance ratio between two polarization channels are analyzed, assuming that the two polarization channels are independent. Conclusions drawn in this paper are Useful to some applications such as dim signal detection and polarization measurement.
