场发射显示器中支撑体的优化设计

Optimization of Spacer Distribution in a Field Emission Display Device

摘要 在场发射显示器中,支撑体起到支持阴阳极基板以抵抗大气压力下形变和应力的作用.在不同的支撑体配置方式下,基板的形变也是不同的.基板的形变将改变器件内部的电场分布,进而影响发射体的发射性能以及屏上光点的亮度.文中研究了柱型和墙型支撑体在不同配置方式下对于屏幕亮度均匀性的影响.研究表明等边三角形方式排列的支撑体分布是最优的分布方式,相对于传统的矩阵排列的支撑体分布方式而言,可使屏幕上亮度的周期性波动降低三分之一. In a field emission display (FED) panel, spacers are used to support the anode and cathode substrate. Different distortions of the panel are generated with different spacer distributions. Because distortions of the panels change the distance between the anode and cathode substrates, the internal electric field and the uniformity of emission characteristics is influenced by the spacer distribution. This paper studies the panel distortions with polar spacers and thin wall spacers. It is shown that the equal-lateral triangle patterned spacers are optimal for spacer distribution. Compared with the traditional arrayed pattern, fluctuation of brightness uniformity is reduced by one third.
