试析民营图书馆生存空间的特征

Analysis of the characteristic of the private library living space

通过厘清“民营图书馆”的概念,结合我国民营图书馆发展的事例,从资金来源、办馆规模和服务形态三个方面总结出民营图书馆的4种常见类型,并归纳出民营图书馆的4大生存空间特征:基于社区已有的集中需求、市场细分形成生存基础、定位主要限于社区图书馆、通过连锁经营或者缔结联盟形成生存网络。最后,从公共财政以及与民营图书馆发展相协调的角度出发,提出当前应重点在三种社区建设公共图书馆。

Through clarifying the concept of ＂private library＂, referring to the examples of the private libraries in China, the paper gives an outline of four common types of the private libraries from the capital source, the scale of the libraries and service modes, and sums up four major characteristics of the private libraries living spaces： their living for the demand of the community, their living based on fractionized markets, their aims at community, and their surviving network by formimg an alliance or a service chain. Finally, the paper proposes that public libraries should be built in three kinds of communities from the coordinate aspects of public finance and the development of private libraries.
