A New Comparator Multiplexing Circuit Design and Implementation

提出一种新型的比较器复用结构,实现了用一个比较器对四组电压的比较。其中,脉冲分配器采用新型的机构,在一定频率下与锁存单元相配合,保证了对四组电压分时比较的正确性,并可推广到对N组电压的比较进行控制。与传统使用多个比较器相比,简化了电路结构,降低了电路功耗,而且便于推广应用。并在UMC 0．6um 30V BCD工艺库下通过Hspice仿真验证,达到了低功耗的要求,具有很大的应用前景。

This paper proposes a new structure of com- parator multiplexing,which can compare four pairs of voltage by one comparator.In this circuit,a new pulse distributor is adopted,which can cooperate with the cor- responding latch element in keeping the output under a certain frequency.So the accuracy of multi-voltage comparing with time-sharing can be ensured,and this pulse distributor is utilized in the control of N pairs of voltage comparing.Comparing with using several com- parator traditionally,this circuit predigests configuration, decreases power consume,and is easy to extending and application.This circuit is designed on the basis of UMC 0.6um 30V BCD process,its performance has been veri- fied by Hspice simulation,reaching the expectancy of low power consume.So this circuit will have an actually great prosperity.
