The strand river region in Yangpu Urban District, which is 15.5 kilometers long, is one main part of Yangpu Old Industry Area, being mainly occupied by many factories and wharfs. The decline of the industry function brings the negative influences such as society, economy and environment in many ways. The renewal strategy, which is in accordance with the great strategy of Yangpu Knowledge Creative District, is to promote the traditional producing function of industry to replace with science and technology, modern service business, entertainment, emphasizing the cultural characteristic and the public characteristic of the strand river region.
