Grammaticalization of “j■^(33)”in Zhuang Language of Xincheng County

语法化是人类语言发展过程中普遍存在的现象,这一现象使壮语在漫长的发展变化中产生了一批举足轻重的虚词,“j■^(33)”就是其中一个,它由一个表示“在、居住”意义的动词虚化为两个语言成分一是介词;二是进行体的标记。

Grammaticalization is a common phenomenon in the development of human languages. With regard to Zhuang language, a number of function words have emerged in its long history of development. Among them is ＂jw^33＂. It was originally used as a verb meaning ＂to exist or to inhabit＂, but it has gradually changed into one serving either as a preposition or a dynamic auxiliary word suggesting continuous aspect.
