胡锦涛总书记提出的以“八荣八耻”为主要内容的社会主义荣辱观,是当代中国社会的主流价值观和社会主义市场经济条件下新的公民道德标准。践行“八荣八耻”要求,树立社会主义荣辱观,是当前的一项重大任务。“八荣八耻”社会主义荣辱观具有丰富内涵,树立社会主义荣辱观具有重大战略意义,树立社会主义荣辱观要“学思行”结合,要在“深化认识、自觉反省、积极实践、持之以恒”四点上下功夫。

Eight Honors and Eight Disgraces,pointed out by Hu Jingtao,is the new moral standards and concept of value for modem Chinese under socialist market economy.Practice Eight Honors and Eight Disgraces and cultivate Honor And Shame Socialist Ideology at present is of substantial significance.To establish the socialist sense of honor and disgrace needs integrating study,thinking,and action,and needs making efforts into four aspects of ＂deepening understanding,introspecting conscience,participating practice, and perpetuating effort＂
