Advantage of Backwardness, Technology Progress and the Development of Foreign Trade in China

后发优势是指后发国家和地区经济发展相对落后和迟缓所形成的有利条件或存在的各种机遇,它主要包括技术和制度两个方面。文章主要根据后发优势在技术方面的表现来研究国际贸易的发展问题。分析结果表明,充分发挥后发优势对于发展中国家的技术进步和国际贸易的发展非常重要,我国应积极利用后发优势来提升本国技术水平,加速经济和贸易的快速、持续发展。

The advantage of backwardness is that some advantageous conditions or existing opportunities are formed in the developing countries and regions because of their relative lagging. It includes two respects of technology and institution mainly. This paper studies the development problems of international trade on the basis of technological advantage of backwardness. And the results show that it is very important of development of technological progress and international trade in developing countries to make use of the advantage of backwardness. China should utilize the advantage of backwardness actively in order to improve domestic technological level and accelerate the fast and sustainable development of the economy and trade.
