研究了如何使用模型来分析建立包含高速公路干线、匝道控制和上游信号控制的菱形立交的一个综合控制系统.本建模方法考虑到了很多方面因素,包括其组成部分、运营特性及系统内的互动作用.论文还提出了系统现场实施运营可能需要的具体措施.建立综合运营控制系统的最关键的因素是通过在钻石立交信号机中特定信号配时来处理匝道反馈信息.当管匝道上排队较长时,系统将通过自动调整来减少进入匝道的车流量,以保证匝道控制系统的有效性,避免匝道排队过长,减少高速公路瘫痪的可能性.由于该系统采用特殊信号相位和配时方法,其控制策略主要针对特定的钻石信号相位计划.文章还介绍了该系统的设计和构架以及现场实施的流程图.
This paper addresses a modeling approach to analyzing an integrated system that includes freeway mainlines, ramp metering, and an upstream signalized diamond interchange. The modeling approach takes into consideration of the various components, their operational characteristics, and their interactions within the system. Strategies are also proposed for real-time operation and possible field implementation. The key dement of achieving an integrated operation is to control the ramp feeding traffic through special signal timings at the diamond interchange. Whenever a long queue is detected at the metered ramp, the signal timing should be adjusted to reduce the traffic flows entering the ramp. In this way, the ramp meter will remain in operation for as long as possible, which would delay the onset of queue flush (i. e., termination of ramp meter) and minimize the possibilities of a freeway breakdown. Because a diamond interchange is usually controlled by special signal phasing and timing, the control strategies are specially focused on the special diamond signal phasing schemes. The system design and system architecture are also presented for potential deployment of the system in the field.
