摘要
讨论了英文摘要写作中对造句的基本要求,即好的句子应当具有完整(unity)、连贯(coherence)、简洁(conciseness)、强调(emphasis)和多样(variety)等特点.用实例详细说明了如何使语句更简洁,如何强调语句中的某一成分和如何正确插入修饰语等问题,以期有助于作者和编者能够准确地、合乎逻辑地表达论文的主要思想.
Discusses the essential requirements to sentence-making in writing an attractive English abstract, i. e., unity, coherence, conciseness, emphasis and variety. Exemplifies in detail how to make sentences more concise, emphasize the key part of a sentence and hold modifiers in place. It is expected that the anatomical exemplifications will help authors and editors express the main ideas exactly and logically.
